In line with our vision of community service in these challenging times, we donated 200 sustainable beds to the COVID-19 affected people with the support of Credihealth. Credihealth is a leading online healthcare platform to help people search for doctors and hospitals across India. These beds are built using hard cardboard material and have a waterproof coating on them. They are also completely biodegradable.
These bedsheets will be distributed at the dedicated COVID centers specifically in Pune and outskirts to serve the affected patients. The eco-friendly biodegradable bedsheets can be used for a period of up to 48 hours. The initiative has been supported and appreciated by Shri Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra.
MG Motor India has been focused on assisting the overall oxygen gas production. It will address specific areas of the manufacturing process such as infrastructure expansion and the elimination of major losses with lean principles. The production of medical oxygen has increased by 31%; in less than a month of joining hands, surpassing the set target of production capacity increase of 25%.
MG Motor India in partnership with Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) and Autobot India has taken a step towards democratizing high-end car technologies in the country through online and offline skill development courses for engineering students. Reinforcing its commitment to creating an ecosystem of innovation in the country, we introduced an Automotive Skill Development programme for Indian youths known as ‘Dakshata’ (synonym for efficiency) in partnership with ASDC and Autobot India. As part of the Skill India Mission, Dakshata will comprise an eight-module training programme specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Electric Vehicles. It will focus on skill enhancement thereby improving employability in the automotive sector while creating skilled manpower to cater to the automotive industry’s future requirements.
MG Motor India has partnered with Baroda Citizens Council for ‘Prerna’, a one-year Skill Development program aimed at training 100 underprivileged women to create a financial platform for them and their families in the long-term. This initiative will help women train and develop skills to attain a better livelihood, thus contributing towards a sustainable development of the society. The idea is to ensure that these women and their families become ‘Atmanirbhar’ (self-dependent) financially.
As part of the “IIMPACT - ech Studio: e-Siksha, Ek Nayi Disha’ initiative, we are donating laptops, smartphones, Smart TVs, projectors, headphones, and more to support tech-enabled learning within 15 IIMPACT centres across 11 states in India. Through this we will train 200 mentor teachers via a blended-training methodology who in turn will train 1800 teachers, thereby benefitting a corresponding number of students.
MGI and its employees pledged a total donation of ₹ 2 Crores towards COVID19 medical aid. This includes Ventilators, beds, medicines, masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). ₹ 1 Crore donation and more from MGI employees alone.

Committed to providing its customers a healthy and safe experience, MG has initiated the Disinfect and Deliver program which ensures car deliveries and test drive at home to customers under a complete sanitized process. All delivery and test drive vehicles are being swabbed with disinfectant before delivery at customers’ homes.MG has further taken a decision that this process will be followed every time, for all vehicles, from now onwards.
Partnered with Compass Group in Gurugram; starting a food distribution drive for the migrant Workforce in Delhi-NCR as part of #LetsFeedTogether initiative - More than 12 000 food packets to be distributed during the lockdown to ensure they get wholesome meals during the lockdown.

MGI team also distributed 85 Ration Kits to needy people at Manipura village, Waghodia,Vadodara during the COVID-19 Lockdown.

MG is championing a 100 rooms girls hostel for its female associates in Halol. Located around 5 kilometers from the unit, the hostel will provide safe and sanitized accommodation to all the associate level female employees along with housekeeping, food and transportation facilities
We are making Hector ambulance version at our Halol plant and will be donating it to health authorities in Vadodara
Further extending its helping hand during the COVID-19 crisis, MG Motor India is providing 100 MG HECTORs to doctors, medical staff, police and local government officials for community service across the country. All the cars would be provided along with fuel and drivers at no cost.
Supported educational Institutions by donating of 500 numbers Medical PPE Kits and 500 Venus N-95 Masks to GMERS Medical College & Hospital, Vadodara (Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society) to support the fight against COVID-19.
Supported NGO Akshara foundation in Ramnagar District, Karnataka where its volunteers are reaching out to a minimum of ten households in their local neighbourhood and explaining the residents about the COVID-19 virus and how to stay safe and healthy and follow government directives.
MG has distributed surgical masks, gloves, sanitizer, sanitizer sprayers, and ration kits to the Vadodara city administration, aiming to empower public service professionals with the equipment they need to protect themselves while helping others. It has also donated ₹ 14.7 Lakh each to the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City, and the Superintendent of Police, Vadodara Rural, for PPE kits. The MG team has also distributed 85 ration kits to the underprivileged in Manipura village in Waghodia, Vadodara, during the lockdown.

This collaboration is focussed on assisting the overall production of ventilators by addressing specific areas of the supply chain, IT system and manufacturing processes. The production capacity would be increased five times to 300 ventilators per month in Phase I which should be completed within next 8 weeks. In Phase II, the production capacity can be enhanced up to 1 000 ventilators per month, depending upon the demand, especially from the government hospitals to help meet the shortage of the life-saving medical devices in the country.
To assist frontline warriors in the battle against Covid-19, MG Motor India is undertaking complete sanitization of police department vehicles free-of-cost at its service stations across the country. MG also tied up with Medklinn for vehicle cabin sterilization.
